The theatrical trailer for Seth MacFarlene’s first movie, Ted, makes its way online and is now on YouTube. The idea of the man at the rear of Family Guy, Ted stars Mark Wahlberg as a man whose closest friend is a living, talking teddy bear who’s alive as a consequence of a childhood wish. Also featuring Mila Kunis (the voice of Meg on Family Guy) and MacFarlene as the voice of its title character, the R-rated live-action/animated comedy reaches cinemas this July.
Who said that the Muppet parody trailers would stop when the film reach cinemas? Our preferred puppets introduced a new trailer for their March 20th DVD/Blu-Ray disc parodying the new film The Hunger Games.
While it uses video clips only from the film and does not contain any new footage, the trailer does confirm Disney is interested in the Muppet franchise and will not permit it rest on the back burner for another twenty-two years. Earlier this week we discovered Jason Segel dropped out of the in-the-works follow up, but it is safe to say the Muppets are little by little working their way back.
A first look at 20th Century Fox’s approaching Ice Age: Continental Drift was unveiled in yesterday's edition of USA Today. The story will include Manny, Sid and Diego getting taken off to sea, where they find themselves followed by an army of evil prehistoric pirates.
Game of Thornes actor Peter Dinklage will play the principal baddie, a huge monkey called Captain Gutt. “We had to find an ancient ape big enough to cause problems for Manny,” explained Mike Thurmeier (Ice Age 3), who’s co-directing the movie with Steve Martino (Horton Hears a Who!). ”We hit the Internet and learned there was evidence of one in Asia.”
Other new heroes will involve a love interest for Diego voiced by Jennifer Lopez and Sid’s cranky old granny, who will be voiced by Wanda Sykes.
The latest trailer for Pixar’s forthcoming cartoon adventure Brave is now online. Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and presenting the voices of Kelly MacDonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, and Robbie Coltrane, Brave gets in cinemas June 22nd, 2012.
