This offers many items in the standard Foghorn Leghorn formula: Dawg and Foghorn in prank wars, Henery looking for a chicken, but unsure what a chicken is, Foghorn telling Henery that Dawg is what he wants (a pheasant). One notable exception from the usual is that Foghorn doesn't sing "Camptown Races", but instead does "Old MacDonald" and (briefly) "A Hunting We Will Go".
